Tottenham will hope to put a difficult week behind them when they host London rivals Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday.

Spurs were thrashed 4-1 by Arsenal in their last league outing Sunday, the top-flight leaders inflicting a derby-day demolition that prompted head coach Thomas Frank to apologise to fans.

They produced a much better performance against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, but their defensive frailties were still exposed as they suffered a 5-3 defeat.

Fulham, meanwhile, claimed a 1-0 win over Sunderland last time out to move three points above the relegation zone, but their form continues to be patchy. Away from home, they have lost every league game this season since a 1-1 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion on the opening day.

Tottenham lineup vs. Fulham: Confirmed starting XI

Formation: 3-4-3

Vicario (GK)

Danso, Gray, Van de Ven

Udogie, Palhinha, Bentancur, Porro

Kudus, Richarlison, Kolo Muani

Tottenham substitutes:Kinsky (GK), Spence, Davies, Sarr, Bentancur, Odobert, Simons, Tel, B. Johnson.

Tottenham team news

Cristian Romero must sit this game out after earning a one-game ban for accumulating five yellow cards, so Kevin Danso should line up alongside Micky van de Ven in defence. They are joined by Archie Gray as Thomas Frank seems to have settled on this back-three system.

Spurs went with it in the defeats to Arsenal and PSG, and Frank has stuck with it instead of returning to the 4-2-3-1 he used against Manchester United. Joao Palhinha lines up against his old club alongside Rodrigo Bentancur in midfield, with Xavi Simons left on the bench.

Randal Kolo Muani scored twice against PSG, joining Richarlison along the front line with Mohammed Kudus to start on the flank.

Tottenham injury list

Below is the latest injury picture for Tottenham, including estimated return dates for those who are sidelined.

Radu Dragusin

  • Injury: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear
  • Expected return date: December

Romania international Dragusin tore his ACL in January in a Europa League clash with Elfsborg and his recovery timeline had been set at around 10-11 months. The club confirmed his rehab is on track, but he has not yet returned to the matchday squad.

Ben Davies

  • Injury: Thigh injury
  • Expected return date: November 29

Veteran defender Davies suffered a thigh muscle injury on international duty with Wales on October 13 as his 100th cap ended in defeat to Belgium. The 32-year-old immediately left the Wales camp and Frank confirmed he would be out for “a few weeks”. Davies was back on the bench for the PSG game.

Dejan Kulusevski

  • Injury: Knee injury
  • Expected return date: December

Kulusevski's absence has been felt by club and country with the Sweden international yet to feature this season after undergoing knee surgery in May. The call to address a persistent issue was taken before Frank's arrival at Spurs, and all parties are cautious over his comeback date after he played a key role under Ange Postecoglou.

Dominic Solanke

  • Injury: Ankle injury
  • Expected return date: Early December

Solanke needed a minor operation on an ankle injury in September. Frank had initially hoped the striker might be back by now, but is now targeting a return in the coming weeks. “We want to be absolutely sure, as sure as we can be, that there is no setback going forward,” he said.

Yves Bissouma

  • Injury: Ankle ligament injury
  • Expected return date: December

Bissouma was another player injured on international duty with Frank confirming an ankle ligament damage suffered in training with the Mali squad.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder has not played for Spurs since being omitted from the UEFA Super Cup final squad for persistent lateness, and there are suggestions he could move on in January.

James Maddison

  • Injury: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear
  • Expected return date: June 2026

Maddison suffered ACL damage in a preseason game against Newcastle United in August, with his campaign over before it even started. The England international has left a creative gap in Frank's team, but due to the length of his rehabilitation, he's not expected to feature again this season.

Kota Takai

  • Injury: Thigh injury
  • Expected return date: December

Japan international Takai is yet to make his Spurs debut following a summer move from Kawasake Frontale, but he could get his first taste of Premier League football in December.
