The Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders wrapped up the NFL's series of games overseas on Sunday in Week 11 with the first game in Spain. The Dolphins were able to come away with a 16-13 win in overtime but there wasn't much to takeaway for fantasy football managers with just 29 total points scored. Let's recap what we saw in terms of fantasy.
De'Von Achane continues to eat
In one of the few positives on the day, Achane was able to continue his hot streak with another double-digit fantasy point outing. He hasn't had a game all season in half-PPR formats in which he hasn't reached double-digit points, this week going for 19 on 26 touches and 165 total yards. What's even better is the Dolphins are playing competitive football. Not that game script mattered much for Achane's fantasy stock. He's been arguably the most consistent player in all of fantasy football in 2025. As Miami tries to push and sneak into the postseason, expect Achane to continue to get elite touches and be on plenty of fantasy playoff rosters.
Lack of touchdowns despite plenty of yards
If you looked at the box score, you may be wondering where all the points were? Both the Commanders and Dolphins put up plenty of yards but combined for just two touchdowns in the game. Washington had nearly 400 yards of total offense while Miami had 340. One of the two TDs went to Washington WR Deebo Samuel Sr., who posted 17.2 fantasy points in the loss. He's been a decent fantasy asset this season despite the injury to Jayden Daniels. Deebo now has touchdowns in back-to-back games and continues to be a TD-dependent flex play in most formats.
Jaylen Waddle was the name most figured would pop in this game and he posted a modest 3-52-0 line on seven targets. With the game tight, Miami didn't need to push the ball down field as much. Waddle posted just 6.7 fantasy points after accumulating double figures in five of the previous six games.
Ollie Gordon II scored the lone TD for the Dolphins, which held Achane back from having an even more successful day. Gordon made the most of nine carries with 45 yards and the score. He'll remain a solid backup with upside if anything happens to Achane. The lead back did briefly exit the game with a back injury, but will have a Week 12 bye to get to get healthy.
Chris Rodriguez Jr. leads Washington backfield
The Commanders' backfield has been one of the most up-and-down units all season long. It's been a revolving door of backs since the team traded Brian Robinson Jr. prior to the season. Rookie back Jacory Croskey-Merritt has had every opportunity to take over the role of No. 1 RB and has failed up to this point. As a result, C-Rod has come on the past three games and had his best game of the season from a usage perspective. Rodriguez totaled 16 touches for 85 total yards. It was the second time in the past three games he's had double-digit touches. Had Samuel not scored his TD, Rodriguez might have been set up for a score in his third straight game.
His output was only good enough for nine fantasy points but if you added Rodriguez this week, this is a good sign. The Commanders were still able to move the ball despite Daniels being out. JCM and Jeremy McNichols will continue to get carries and targets, which will limit Rodriguez's upside. However, if C-Rod can get 10-15 touches per game, he should be a decent RB3/FLEX option in most formats.
