The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have moved up three spots in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll after beating the North Carolina State Wolfpack 36-7 on Saturday.
The Fighting Irish are now ranked 13th.
Big movers include Oklahoma, which fell eight spots to No. 14 after losing to Texas, and Oregon, which dropped five spots to No. 8 after falling to the Indiana Hoosiers. The Hoosiers were among the two biggest movers with a positive change — they went up four spots to No. 3, while South Florida went up five spots to No. 19 after blowing out North Texas.
Ohio State, Miami (FL), Indiana, Texas A&M and Ole Miss are the top five. Rounding out the top 10 are Alabama, Texas Tech, Oregon, Georgia and LSU.
Notre Dame fans will be paying attention to USC, both because the Trojans are the Irish's next opponent and because USC's strength of schedule will play into the evaluation of Notre Dame's playoff case, especially should the Irish win. USC beat Michigan 31-13 and is now ranked No. 20, while the Wolverines dropped out of the top 25.
Indiana climbs to No. 3, its highest Top 25 ranking in history, behind Ohio State and Miami. See where other teams rank. https://t.co/7dTTUiT9QRpic.twitter.com/KaKiUmTyOA
