The Green Bay Packers elevated offensive lineman Lecitus Smith from the practice squad to the gameday roster for Week 4 of the 2025 season. The move was announced Saturday, making Smith available for Matt LaFleur and the Packers for Sunday night's showdown with the Dallas Cowboys.
The Packers will likely need Smith to be the eighth active offensive lineman on the gameday roster with Zach Tom and Anthony Belton ruled out and Aaron Banks listed as doubtful to play. If Banks doesn't play, Smith would join Donovan Jennings and rookie Brant Banks as the three likely backups.
Smith was only signed to the practice squad on Thursday, but he spent time with the Packers during each of the last two years, including during training camp in both 2024 and 2025, and has experience in Matt LaFleur's offense at both guard and center.
With Banks unlikely to play, the expected Packers offensive line is Rasheed Walker at left tackle, Jordan Morgan at left guard, Elgton Jenkins at center, Sean Rhyan at right guard and Darian Kinnard at right tackle.
Teams are allowed to elevate up to two players every week, and practice squad players can be elevated up to three times in a season. This is Smith's first elevation of the season. He will revert back to the practice squad on Monday.
