The Eagles are bringing back a familiar face at the NovaCare Complex on Wednesday, as Former Philadelphia sixth-round pick Quez Watkins signed to the practice squad. The signing was among nine roster moves the Eagles made that included placing three players on injured reserve. Watkins, 27, was initially drafted by Philadelphia in the 2020 NFL Draft and spent four years with the team.

His best season came in 2021, when he caught 43 passes for 647 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles had hoped Watkins would become an integral part of their offense, but his production tailed off in 2022 and 2023.
Watkins signed a one-year deal with Pittsburgh last offseason but failed to make the 53-man roster. The Steelers re-signed him to their practice squad following roster cuts.
