Colorado football received a significant commitment from 2026 four-star defensive lineman Emanuel Ruffin on Tuesday afternoon.
Ruffin chose the Buffaloes over several top programs, including Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU and Ohio State. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound lineman committed to Deion Sanders' program after attending Colorado's recent win over Wyoming, clearly impressed with the entire operation.
The Bessemer City, Alabama, native is now Colorado's top 2026 recruit according to 247Sports, surpassing linebacker Rodney Colton Jr. 247Sports ranks Ruffin as the No. 192 overall player, the No. 25 defensive lineman and the No. 12 player from his home state of Alabama.

Ruffin's commitment brings Colorado's 2026 class up to 12 players. Those dozen players rank No. 76 nationally and No. 15 in the Big 12, surpassing UCF with the recent pledge. Ruffin is also the fourth four-star to commit, which is tied for the second most in the conference.
Colorado has several recruiting visits scheduled for this weekend, so there is a strong possibility of additional commitments in the coming weeks.
