Sean Larochelle and Mathieu Bizier scored for the third-seeded Stingers, who outshot the Gee-Gees 33-14, but had trouble solving Gee-Gees’ netminder Franky Lapenna until the final three minutes.
The Gee-Gees edged the Toronto Metropolitan Bold 4-3 in Saturday’s semifinals, while the Stingers blanked the Saskatchewan Huskies 3-0 in the other semifinal.

The Saskatchewan Huskies knocked off the Toronto Metropolitan Bold 4-1 on Sunday in the bronze-medal final.
Vince Loschiavo scored twice for the Huskies, while Justin Ball and Landon Kosior netted singles.
Kevin Gursoy scored for the Bold, who trailed 2-1 after the second period.
The Huskies outshot the Bold 24-18 and went 2-for-5 on the power play. The Bold were 1-for-8 on the power play.
Bishop’s blanks Waterloo for women’s crownGabrielle Santerre had a goal and two assists to lead the Bishop’s Gaiters to a 3-0 victory over the host Waterloo Warriors in Sunday’s gold-medal final of the U Sports Women’s Hockey Championship at Woolwich Memorial Centre.
Santerre snapped a scoreless tie with a goal at 11:29 of the second period. She then set up Gabrielle Rousseau’s insurance marker at 17:16 of the third period, and assisted on Maude Pepin’s empty-netter at 18:20.

Gabrielle Santerre’s 1st period winner holds up as Bishop’s capture U Sports hockey championship
Bishop’s University hockey team claimed the U Sports women’s hockey championship title Sunday after shutting down the University of Waterloo 3-0.
Netminder Ericka Gagnon made 27 saves to record the shutout as the Gaiters appeared in the national final for the first time in the program’s four-year history.
The third-seeded Gaiters outshot the eighth-seeded Warriors 29-27. Both teams went 0-for-3 on the power play.

The Varsity Blues claimed the bronze medal on Sunday with a 3-1 win over the Stingers.
Sophie Grawbarger, Abby Whitworth and Scout Watkins Southward (empty-netter) scored for Toronto.
Jessymaude Drapeau scored for Concordia.
The Varsity Blues outshot the Stingers 27-19.
