Austrian racer Elias Leitner lost his balance and fell backwards into Grondin’s path on the final jump, launching the Canadian off the side of the course for a heavy impact.

The 23-year-old from Sainte-Marie, Que., appeared to be unscathed after being helped to his feet.

He was awarded bronze after the jury ruled race interference from Leitner following video replay.

Austria’s Jakob Dusek and Australia’s Adam Lambert won gold and silver, respectively, in the four-man race.
