Montreal’s Felix Auger-Aliassime will play Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti for Olympic bronze in the men’s singles competition.
It’s the Canadian’s second chance at an Olympic medla in Paris after teaming up with Ottawa’s Gabriela Dabrowski to win the mixed doubles bronze Friday with a 6-3, 7-6 (2) victory over Demi Schuurs and Wesley Koolhof of the Netherlands.
Before that mixed double medal, Canada had won only one Olympic tennis medal, when Sebastien Lareau and Daniel Nestor triumphed in men’s doubles at the 2000 Sydney Games.
