Players from across the Coastal Bend shined on both sides of the ball in the football playoffs, producing several finalists for the Apple Dental Center Caller-Times High School Athlete of the Week.
The Caller-Times is taking weekly nominations and will release a list of finalists for the High School Athlete of the Week each Tuesday.
Students in all varsity sports are eligible and can only be named Athlete of the Week one time per season, per sport, and athletes from one school cannot win more than three consecutive weeks.
Gregory-Portland running back Cody Adame had four touchdowns as the Wildcats offense kept churning out points in a win against Sharyland.
Drayson Gamez set a Calallen school record with two interceptions returned for touchdowns in the same game, going 80 and 70 yards.
Nominations are due by 5 p.m. Saturday and can be submitted through email at ctsports@caller.com or on Twitter @CallerSports.

• Cody Adame, Gregory-Portland football — Adame had 12 carries for 88 yards and three touchdowns and added two catches for 45 yards and another score in a playoff win against Sharyland.
• Drayson Gamez, Calallen football — Set a school record with two inteceptions returned for touchdown in the same game, traversing 80 and 70 yards in a win against Canyon Lake.
• Leah Gutierrez, Bishop girls basketball — Gutierrez scored 21 points twice last week in contests against Ingleside and La Vernia.
• Wyatt Kalhoefer, Rockport-Fulton football — Kalhoefer had 16 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble, to go with a 1-yard touchdown run in a playoff win against Salado.
• Gabby Ramon, Tuloso-Midway girls basketball — Ramon scored 25 points and hit five 3-pointers in a win against Alice.
• Zander Wills, Refugio football — Wills had 11 carries for 204 yards and three touchdowns and added 14 tackles and three tackles for a loss in a playoff win against Rosebud-Lott.
• Marcos Zapata Jr., Sinton football — Zapata had nine carries for 142 yards and two touchdowns and added 17 tackles in a playoff win against Jarrell.
• Aniya Zena, Woodsboro girls basketball — Zena scored 87 points in four games in the Woodsboro Tournamnet, including a 39-point outing against Bloomington.
