The Washington Commanders have now lost six consecutive games after falling 16-13 to the Miami Dolphins in overtime of their Week 11 matchup in Madrid, Spain.
While quarterback Marcus Mariota completed 20 of 30 passing attempts for 213 passing yards and threw a touchdown pass, he tossed an interception on the Commanders' first play in overtime, which set up the Dolphins' four-play, 22-yard drive that ended in the game-winning field goal.
However, Mariota's touchdown pass was a 20-yard completion to wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who caught the first touchdown of the game, and the first touchdown in Madrid in NFL history.

Samuel was Washington's leading receiver, catching seven of his eight targets for 74 receiving yards and a score, earning him the Commanders' Week 11 Player of the Game.
He also caught the Commanders' longest pass of the day, a 28-yard reception late in the fourth quarter, as Washington looked to seal the game. However, kicker Matt Gay missed his second field goal of the day from 50+ yards, and the game was sent into overtime.
He also recorded a single carry for a three-yard gain and finished the game with 77 scrimmage yards.
Samuel has now caught 53 passes for 470 receiving yards and five touchdowns in his first season with Washington, and is the Commanders' leading receiver in all three categories.
