Here’s how Bills general manager Brandon Beane addressed the 2025 NFL trade deadline

Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane leveled with everyone else that follows his team following the 2025 NFL trade deadline.

Beane said he was “mad as any other fan” that he was unable to pull off a trade earlier this week when he went home when the 2025 trade deadline closed on Tuesday.

Nationally and locally there was disappointment that the Bills did not add any players via trade.

What happened? Essentially, Beane said the offers out there just were not ones he liked.

“Unfortunately, it takes two to tango and we tried on quite a few,” Beane said. “And a lot was just, yeah, we're not moving, and some was, we ran into a couple teams in our division were trading and couldn't get a lot of interest there.”

“Candidly, I would have lost money [Tuesday] on the Bills doing a move,” Beane added.

Beane has typically been active during the lead up to the yearly trade deadline in the NFL, but for the first time since 2021, he was not.

Here's more reflection from Beane on how the the 2025 NFL trade deadline went down for the Bills.
