USA TODAY Sports Super 25 girls flag football rankings: Week 3

USA TODAY Sports Super 25 flag football rankings, in partnership with the NFL.

A Southern California clash reshaped the latest USA TODAY Sports flag football Super 25, with JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) topping Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, Calif.) to remain unbeaten. The Lions' impressive win created a shift in the top half of the rankings, which also included the top-ranked Illinois team moving up a spot.

Meanwhile, as action gets underway in Arizona, more outcomes around the flag football landscape have impacted the rankings as well, highlighted by several new teams appearing in this week's best of the best.

Super 25 flag football selection process

In partnership with the NFL, the teams are determined by a USA TODAY Network selection committee of editors and writers in the participating states and the USA TODAY High School Sports staff.

The process considers factors ranging from last year's results based on NFHS Network data, carryover into this season, and a primary focus on 2025 records and overall performance. A team's state ranking influences its national placement, a process that allows editorial expertise and objectivity to blend with the ever-present subjectivity.

With that in mind, here is the latest USA TODAY Sports Super 25 girls flag football rankings:
