Dez Bryant's final game in a Dallas Cowboys jersey came on New Year's Eve in 2017. Ironically, that game was played vs. the Philadelphia Eagles. Though the feud between these longtime rivals is never-ending and bitter, that game lacked the usual venom and typical fireworks.
Dallas won in Lincoln Financial Field by a 6-0 margin, but there was a catch. Philadelphia elected to rest its starters to prepare for what would be a Super Bowl run.
Absence hasn't made the heart grow fonder. Mention Bryant's name to any devoted Eagles fan, and their expression and countenance will change almost immediately, but here's a twist. The third member of the Cowboys' famed '88 Club' resurfaced recently, and he was singing the Eagles' praises.
Dez Bryant praises the Eagles' acquisition of John Metchie
Wide receivers can sometimes get a bad rap, and if we're being honest, receivers can sometimes bring that rap on themselves. Guys like Bryant have been called everything from 'selfish' to a 'diva'.
One thing you can always count on, however, is that receivers often look out for other receivers. Bryant held to form, mentioning some complimentary things about the new Eagles acquisition, John Metchie, as he defended Philadelphia's new wideout from the disrespectful theories of an overzealous NFL fan.
You clearly don’t know football.. Metchie been in unfortunate situations that had nothing to do with his play.. health issues and emerging WRs in Houston..Eagles clearly got a steal…he’s familiar with Hurts and Smith…Eagles really out here playing MUT in real life… https://t.co/KUXT6vTH0m

For the uninitiated, 'MUT' refers to the 'Ultimate Team' mode on EA's Madden NFL game. Any star you have cards for can be placed on the roster. That being said, Philadelphia is indeed playing 'MUT' while building this impressive roster. There is, however, a catch: Metchie won't be getting the ball much.
The Eagles' skill players include Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, and Jahan Dotson. As you know, there is only one ball used in the game of football, but that's beside the point. The biggest takeaway here is that Dez Bryant complimented the Philadelphia Eagles.
