After practice on Monday, Jonathan Smith spoke to the media, addressing the state of his team as the week one game against the Western Michigan Broncos looms closer and closer.

This update from Smith comes after the second secret scrimmage that the Spartans held, giving the staff more clarity on the state of the team and program, and who is excelling in the positional battles. Smith gave the media a glimpse into what has been going on behind the scenes.

From addressing various injuries, to praising a bunch of different players that excelled in the second scrimmage and throwing in some position battle updates, Smith was very open about what is going inside his program.
